22nd May 2010 - Chiltern League Round 2 - Special Thanks

We had a fun time at the chiltern league round 2 gala on the evening of Saturday 22nd May at Banbury.

I really hope everyone enjoyed it.

However there are, as usual, a few people that I'd like to mention that had some 'work' to do and so didn't quite get to enjoy the gala quite like the rest of us.

Pete Bridgman and Richard Bristow were timekeepers for the night - a mandatory condition for entry into the league. I can't stress how important or helpful this role is. Not only do they not get to watch ou swimmers (as a timekeeper they must concentrated on their lane) but they also provide their own 'whites'. Without these volunteers we simply would not be able to compete.

Neil Blunstone and Sue Gamage and Fran were busy poolside. keeping 25 excited kids in the right place at the right time to swim 50 events including relays is no small achievement.

Neils coaching inputs are, of course, crucial.

So, on behalf of TEAM BSSC, I'd like to say a very big 'thank you' to all concerned. We couldn't have done it without you.

Thanks, as well, to Maxine London and Louise Brunt who stepped in the the last moment to swim additional events in the place of a couple of swimmers who were unavailable at the last moment.
