19/04/2010 UK TEAM GB Swimmer Craig Gibbons paid a guest visit to BSSC Monday evening training this week.
Craig spent the whole evening with us and giving demonstrations and coaching tips, especially on turns and starts. Our swimmers hung on his every word, hoping to get the inside track on just how you do 50m freestyle in 21.49 seconds !! It was a special evening for them and one that will be remembered for a long time to come. Craig provided heaps of motivation and inspiration to our swimmers.
Perhaps luckiest of all was Hannah Pace who won the 'swim a length backwards' challenge. Her prize was Craig's GB swim hat, which Craig kindly signed for her. Ella got her towel signed and Matthew and James got their kick boards signed - now I have to buy new kick boards !
Craig is also setting up his 'Swim Vision Academy'
to provide swimmers with specialised drills, skills
