28/03/10 - Six BSSC members passed the official ASA timekeepers course held at aquavale. And still got back for training that evening - just !

Tony Jones, Nikki London, Sam Jordan, Duncan Gamage, Neil Blunstone and Colin Eddy all passed the course.

This is a useful boost to the club's capabilities because:

1) We are sometimes required to committ officals to galas as part of the entry criteria, Chiltern League is a good example of that.

2) In order to certify a time as 'legitimate' then we have enough officials qualified to judge the swim. A good example is our club championship where we often struggle to get sufficient officals to make the times 'ASA legal'. These legal times would then be suitable for entry into county competitions.

Nikki London and Duncan Gamage will already be in action timekeeping at the first chiltern league gala where we are required to volunteer two officials as part of our entry.
