Swindon Tigersharks Level 2 Open 5th and 6th December 2009    results

On the 5th and 6th of December, 2 of our swimmers, Sam Jordan and Ruth Bridgman, went to the Tigersharks Christmas open meet in Swindon.  This meet was very busy, as the event was over-subscribed.  This meant that some of the swimmers had to sit in the spectators’ seating area, and the parents had to squash in on the remaining seats!

On the Saturday, Chris, the coach from Maxwell Skill Development squad, was there to supervise us as well as the Maxwell team.  On the Sunday, Neil was there as coach for Swans and Maxwell, and provided great tips for us before and after the races - so thanks to both coaches!

On the Sunday, before his first race, Sam asked me if he could borrow a hat, as his had broken at the Club Championships. Thankfully, I had remembered to take my spare one in case mine had broken!  So make sure you take a spare hat/pair of goggles in case you or your team mates might need one!

Over the weekend our 2 swimmers swam 8 races, and 5 personal bests were achieved!  Although the weekend was very tiring, we all had a great time and were really pleased with the way we swam!

Sorry that there aren’t any photos - my mum forgot her camera!
