Swan Pool was the setting for Buckingham Swans Swimming Club's 2009 club championships last Sunday evening. A large number of swimmers of all ages (9 years upwards) from the club's 100-strong membership swam in 16 different races, including freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and individual medley events. For the first time this year we welcomed swimmers from the Buckingham Swans Skill Development Squad.
With a large crowd watching, more than 150 personal best times were recorded by swimmers, and certificates of achievement were presented to all competitors at the end of the gala by the club's coaches, Dave Hilliard and Neil Blunstone
